Tom Steinert-Threlkeld conceived and developed CruxialCIO for IBT Media and was its launch editor. He also conceived, developed and was launch editor-in-chief of Baseline Magazine, which won the highest honor in business media – the Grand Neal Award – in 2005 and was a finalist for general excellence in the National Magazine Awards. He was an award-winning technology journalist at the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram, as well as Inter@ctive Week, the first Internet newsmagazine. He was a graduate of the Harvard Business School and the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Tom passed away in October 2013.

McDougall holds a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from the University of British Columbia and a master's degree in journalism from New York University. Paul was born in Toronto and is an obsessive Maple Leafs fan. He resides in Manhattan.

Scott Miller oversees all display, video and mobile ad sales and sponsorships. He is also involved with the company's business development and marketing efforts. He has held senior executive roles at Ziff Davis Media, Ziff Davis Enterprise and Bloomberg Businessweek. He was on the launch teams for CIO Insight and Baseline magazines and CIOInsight.com & Baselinemag.com websites. Scott is also one of the co-founders of CIOZone, the world's first professional social network for CIOs.
